(2)    EXCEPT AS LIMITED IN (3) THE OFFICER HAVE THE
SAME POWER AND LEGAL AUTHORITY TO ENFORCE PARKING
ORDINANCES, LAWS AND REGULATIONS AS DO POLICE OFFICERS OF
THE BALTIMORE CITY POLICE DEPARTMENT.

(3)    THE SPECIAL PARKING ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS MAY
NOT ARREST OR TAKE INTO CUSTODY ANY PERSON FOR THE
VIOLATION OF PARKING ORDINANCES, LAWS OR REGULATIONS OR
OTHERWISE HAVE THE POWER OF ARREST IN THEIR OFFICIAL
CAPACITY. A RECORD OF THE APPOINTMENT OF THE OFFICERS
SHALL BE KEPT BY THE COMMISSIONER AND ANY APPOINTMENT MAY
BE REVOKED BY HIM AT ANY TIME. THE FORM OF THE BADGE AND
THE TYPE OF UNIFORM THAT MAY BE WORK BY THESE OFFICERS
MOST BE APPROVED BY THE POLICE COMMISSIONER.

(4)    THE BALTIMORE CITY POLICE DEPARTMENT SHALL
CONTINUE TO ENFORCE THE LAWS REGULATING PARKING AND ARE
NOT RELIEVED OF ANY DUTY BY THIS SECTION.

SECTION 2.. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1975.

AN ACT concerning

Retail Service Stations

FOR the purpose of banning the operation of retail
service stations by Management firms operating under
certain contracts with the producer or refiner and
providing that stations must be operated by retail
service station dealers.

BY repealing and re—enacting, with amendments,

Article 56 — Licenses

Section 157E (b) and (c)

Annotated Code of Maryland

(1972 Replacement Volume and 1974 Supplement)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Sections 157E (b) and (c) of Article 56 -
Licenses, of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1972
Replacement Volume and 1974 Supplement) be and they are
hereby repealed and re—enacted, with amendments, to read
as follows:
