UPON THE PETITIONER, AS A CONDITION TO THE GRANT OF ANY
TEMPORARY VARIANCE, A VARIANCE FEE, NOT TO EXCEED THE
DIFFERENCE IN COST BETWEEN THE TYPE OF FUEL WHICH THE
PETITIONER WILL UTILIZE DURING THE VARIANCE PERIOD AND
THE TYPE OF FUEL OTHERWISE REQUIRED FOR COMPLIANCE WITH
THE RULES, REGULATIONS AND ORDERS ADOPTED OR ISSUED UNDER
THIS SUBTITLE.]] THE GRANT OF ANY TEMPORARY VARIANCE
PURSUANT TO THE PROCEDURES CONTAINED IN THIS SECTION MAY
NOT BE CONSTRUED TO BELIEVE THE PETITIONER FROM FULL
COMPLIANCE WITH ANY APPLICABLE LAWS, RULES OR
REGULATIONS, OR ANY ORDERS, PERMITS OR OTHER VARIANCES
PREVIOUSLY ISSUED, EXCEPT TO THE EXTENT NECESSARY TO GIVE
EFFECT TO THE VARIANCE.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1975.

AN ACT concerning
Maryland Port Administration — Motor
Vehicle Violations
FOR the purpose of providing that the Maryland Port
Administration regulations shall include procedures
for the voluntary payment of fines in uncontested
parking cases directly to the Administration;
amending the penalty provided for violation of a
motor vehicle rule or regulation; providing that a
parking violation is not a misdemeanor: providing a
maximum penalty for a parking violation: and
permitting the Port Administration security police
to issue citations for violations of [[any]] motor
vehicle regulations.
