the Code, he may request a judge of that circuit court to
determine the reasonableness of the fee.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That Section
7—203 of Article — Courts and Judicial Proceedings, of
the Annotated Code of Maryland (1974 Volume and 1974
Supplement) be and it is hereby repealed:

Article — Courts and Judicial Proceedings

7-203.

[(a) The fees and disbursements in any proceedings
to foreclose the right of redemption may not exceed
$25.00. The fees do not include recording fees.

(b)    If more than one property is included in the
same bill of complaint and an answer or other pleading is
filed, the clerk shall collect additional fees as
provided in § 7—202.

(c)    In addition to the fees provided in
subsections (a) and (b), the clerk shall collect the
following fees:

(1)    An appearance fee — $10 for each action
irrespective of the number of properties included in the
action; if an answer is filed in any proceeding, the
defendant's appearance fee shall be $10;

(2)    For a necessary title search — $75 for
each property. The court upon proof that the search was
unusually difficult may allow not more than $100 for each
search; and

(3)    For service of process not more than $2
for each service.]

SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That all
court costs, fees, and other charges for the Circuit
Courts of the counties and the Courts of the Supreme
Bench of Baltimore City shall remain in effect until such
time as they are revised in accordance with the
provisions of this Act.

SECTION [[3]] 4. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That
this Act [[shall take effect July 1, 1975]] is hereby
declared to be an emergency measure and is necessary for
the immediate preservation of the public health and
safety and having been passed by a yea and nay vote
supported by three—fifths of all the members elected to
each of the two Houses of the General Assembly, the same
