AN ACT concerning

Natural Resources — Technical Corrections

FOR the purpose of reallocating the provisions of certain
sections of Title 7 — "Mines and Mining" and making
certain stylistic changes in language relating to
pozzolans.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Subtitle 7A. Pozzolan of Article —
Natural Resources, of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1974 Volume and 1974 Supplement) be and it is hereby
repealed:

7-7A01. "Pozzolan" defined.

For the purposes of this subtitle, "pozzolan" means
the finely divided residue that results from combustion
of coal (ground or powdered) and is released by
combustion gases as defined by the test methods published
by the American Society for Testing Materials.

7—7A02. Use of pozzolan.

(a) Use in accordance with sound engineering
practices. — Any person who uses pozzolan for landfill
shall do so in accordance with sound engineering
practices, permitting the recovery of the pozzolan at a
later date.
