LAWS OF MARYLAND

[Ch. 510

(c) Every private passenger automobile
manufactured on and after January 1, 1974, sold, or
titled and registered in the State of Maryland, shall be
sold subject to the manufacturer's warranty that it is
equipped with an appropriate energy absorption system
[[and that, without compromising existing standards of
passenger safety, it can be driven, both front and rear,
directly into a standard Society of Automotive Engineers
(SAE J-850) test barrier at a speed of [five (5)] 2 1/2
miles per hour without sustaining any damage to the
automobile]] THAT MEETS THE REQUIREMENTS FOR ENERGY
ABSORPTION SYSTEMS SET BY THE NATIONAL HIGHWAY TRAFFIC
SAFETY ADMINISTRATION.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1975.

Harford County — Tax Credits for Silo Owners

FOR the purpose of authorizing the Harford County Council
to permit a credit against certain taxes to owners
of certain silos in Harford County.

Article 81 — Revenue and Taxes

Section 9C(j-1)

Annotated Code of Maryland

(1969 Replacement Volume and 1974 Supplement)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That new Section 9C (j—1) be and it is hereby
added to Article 81 — Revenue and Taxes, of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1969 Replacement Volume and 1974
Supplement) to read as follows:
