Section 2-309(c)(1)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section 2-309(c)(1) of Article - Courts
and Judicial Proceedings, of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1974 Volume and 1974 Supplement) be and it is
hereby repealed and re—enacted, with amendments, to read
as follows:

(c) (1) The Sheriff of Anne Arundel County shall
receive a salary of $17,500. In addition to his salary,
the Sheriff shall receive [$145,000] [[$154,000]]
$157,000 annually to be used for salaries of deputies and
any necessary clerical assistants[; $19,500 of this shall
be for three new positions at $6,500 each and $15,00 0 for
increases in salary for 14 full—time employees].

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1975.

assistant State's Attorneys in Anne Arundel County;
specifying a certain maximum salary to be set by the
the State's Attorney; and raising the minimum salary
for the administrative assistant.
