AN ACT concerning

Baltimore City — Bond Issue Authorization Repeal

FOR the purpose of repealing in its entirety Chapter 129
of the Laws of Maryland of 1971 (Baltimore City Bond
Issue Authorization — School Building).

BY repealing

Chapter 129 of the Laws of Maryland of 1971

Preamble

WHEREAS, Chapter 129 of the Laws of Maryland
authorized the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore to
borrow $18,000,000 and to use it to construct, erect,
Modernize, rehabilitate, restore and equip school
buildings and other auxiliary facilities; and

WHEREAS, The Mayor and City Council of Baltimore
have not exercised any of the power or authority granted
to it by the provisions of the Act; and

WHEREAS, It has been determined that it would not
now be in the best interests of the City to borrow the
aforementioned amount of money; now, therefore,

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Chapter 129 of the Laws of Maryland of
1971 be and it is hereby repealed.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1975.
