SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section 14-702(a) of Article - Commercial
Law, of the Annotated Code of Maryland (As enacted by

Chapter ____ (HB26) of the Acts of the General Assembly

of 1975) be and it is hereby repealed and re—enacted,
with amendments, to read as follows:

Article — Commercial Law

14-702. Applicability of Subtitle.

(a) Exception.

This subtitle does not apply to a secondhand watch
which has been sold previously to a consumer and is
returned to the seller [for exchange or credit]] WITHIN
[[TEN]] 30 CALENDAR DAYS FOR A REFUND, CREDIT, OR
EXCHANGE IN AN AMOUNT EQUAL TO THE FULL AMOUNT OF THE
PURCHASE PRICE[[. If]], if the seller keeps a written
record which sets forth:

(1)    The name and address of the consumer;

(2)    The [[date]] DATES of the sale to AND
THE RETURN BY the consumer;

(3)    The name of the watch or its maker; and

(ft) The serial number or, if none, any other
distinguishing number or identification mark on the case
and on the movement of the watch.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1975.
