SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1975.

AN ACT concerning

Perjury — Oaths, Affirmations and Affidavits
Pursuant to District Court Rules

FOR the purpose of providing that an oath or affirmation
made willfully and falsely in affidavits or
affirmations made pursuant to the Maryland District
Rules is perjury; and making certain technical
corrections to clarify language of the Annotated
Code of Maryland.

BY repealing and re-enacting, with amendments,

Article 27 — Crimes and Punishments

Section 435

Annotated Code of Maryland

(1971 Replacement Volume and 1974 Supplement)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section 435 of Article 27 - Crimes and
Punishments, of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1971
Replacement Volume and 1974 Supplement) be and it is
hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read
as follows:

Article 27 — Crimes and Punishments

435.

An oath or affirmation, if made willfully and
falsely in any of the following cases, shall be deemed
