Supplement) be and they are hereby repealed and
re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

Article 66 1/2 — Vehicle Laws

6-205.2.

(a)    The Administration [may] [[SHALL]] may revoke
the driver's license of any person who:

(1)   Is convicted of operating a Motor vehicle while
in an intoxicated condition; or WHILE UNDER THE INFLUENCE
OF A CONTROLLED DANGEROUS SUBSTANCE PURSUANT TO SECTION
11-902 (D); OR

(2)   Is convicted of a third or subsequent violation
committed within a period of 3 years, of operating a
motor vehicle while driving ability is impaired BY
ALCOHOL OR DRUGS PURSUANT TO SECTIONS 11-902(B) AND (C).

(b)   The Administration may suspend for a period of
not more than 60 days the driver's license of any person
who is convicted of operating a motor vehicle while
driving ability is impaired BY ALCOHOL OR DRUGS PURSUANT
TO SECTIONS 11-902(B) AND (C).

(c)   The Administration may suspend for a period of
not more than 120 days the driver's license of any person
who is convicted of a second violation, committed within
a period of 3 years, of operating a motor vehicle while
driving ability is impaired BY ALCOHOL OR DRUGS PURSUANT
TO SECTIONS 11-902(B) AND (C).

(d)   At the expiration of any suspension imposed
under subsections (b) and (c) of this section, the
Administration shall return forthwith the license or
privilege of the driver, provided, however, the license
or privilege shall not be returned if the driver's
license or privilege has been refused, revoked, suspended
or cancelled under any other provisions of this article.

6-402.

(a) Initial points shall be assessed as follows:

Any moving violation not listed below and

not contributing to an accident..... 1 point

Speeding in excess of the posted speed

limit by 10 miles per hour or more.. 2 points

Any moving violation contributing to
an accident...................
