(Senate Bill 993)

AN ACT concerning

Oysters — Season

FOR the purpose of allowing the Department of Natural
Resources to prolong the season for catching oysters
by a certain time.

BY adding to

Article — Natural Resources
Section 4-1008 (d)
Annotated Code of Maryland
(1974 Volume and 1974 Supplement)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That new Section 4—1008 (d) be and it is hereby
added to Article — Natural Resources, of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1974 Volume and 1974 Supplement) to
read as follows:

Article — Natural Resources

4-1008.

(D) NOTWITHSTANDING THE PROVISIONS OF SUBSECTION
(B) AND (C), THE DEPARTMENT MAY PROLONG BY NOT MORE THAN
TWO WEEKS THE SEASON FOR CATCHING OYSTERS.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1975.
