AN ACT concerning

Vehicle Laws — Transporter License Tags

FOR the purpose of permitting the issuance of transporter
license tags to an insurance company for the purpose
of transporting stolen automobiles which were
recovered.

BY repealing and re—enacting, with amendments,

Article 66 1/2 — Vehicle Laws

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section 1-204 of Article 66 1/2 - Vehicle
Laws, of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1970 Replacement
Volume and 1974 Supplement) be and it is hereby repealed
and re—enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

Article 66 1/2 — Vehicle Laws

1-204.

Transporter means every person engaged in the
business of delivering vehicles of a type required to be
registered thereunder] UNDER THIS ARTICLE from a
manufacturing, assembling, or distributing plant to point
of destination, including the transportation or moving of
motor vehicles to or from places of business for purposes
of repair, painting, [or] remodeling OR FOR
TRANSPORTATION OF RECOVERED STOLEN VEHICLES BY INSURANCE
COMPANIES.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1975.
