AN ACT concerning
Sales and Notices — State Lottery Tickets Given
in Sales Promotion
FOR the purpose of allowing tickets for the State Lottery
to be given away as a part of a sales promotion.
BY repealing and re—enacting, with amendments,

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section 21D of Article 83 - Sales and
Notices, of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1969
Replacement Volume and 1974 Supplement) be and it is
hereby repealed and re—enacted, with amendments, to read
as follows:
Article 83 — Sales and Notices
21D.
The notification to any person by any means, as part
of an advertising scheme or plan, that he has won a
prize, received an award, or has been selected or is
eligible to receive anything of value which is
conditioned upon his purchasing any item, or submitting
to a sales promotion effort constitutes an unlawful
practice under this subtitle. The provisions of this
section do not apply to trading stamps as defined by §
239(a) of Article 56 of the Annotated Code OR STATE
LOTTERY TICKETS ISSUED UNDER THE AUTHORITY OF ARTICLE

Law, of the Annotated Code of Maryland (As enacted by
Chapter (HB 26) of the Acts of the General Assembly of
1975) be and it is hereby repealed and re—enacted, with
amendments, to read as follows:
