AN ACT concerning

Television — Children's Program Awards

FOR the purpose of establishing an award to provide
public recognition for television programs and
stations which have constructive influence on youth.

BY adding to

Article 41 — Governor — Executive and

Administrative Departments
Section 457 through 459, to be under the new

subtitle "45. [[Maryland Emmy Awards]]

Television — Maryland Children's Program

Awards"
Annotated Code of Maryland
(1971 Replacement Volume and 1974 Supplement)

Preamble

Television is one of the most powerful influences on
youth today. It is important to encourage the positive
potential of this influence.

The Maryland [[Emmy]] Children's Program Award is
established to provide public recognition for those
locally produced [[telvision]] television programs which
have the most constructive influence on youth in the
State and for the television stations which place the
greatest emphasis on programming constructive for youth;
now, therefore,

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That new Sections 457 through 459, to be under
the new subtitle "45. [[Maryland Emmy Awards]]
Television — Maryland Children's Program Awards" be and
they are hereby added to Article 41 - Governor —
Executive and Administrative Departments, of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (1971 Replacement Volume and
1974 Supplement) to read as follows:
