FOR the purpose of providing that the People's Counsel of
the Public Service Commission may intervene or
participate in certain matters before certain
Federal agencies.

Article 78 — Public Service Commission Law

Section 15(4)

Annotated Code of Maryland

(1969 Replacement Volume and 1974 Supplement)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That new Section 15(4) be and it is hereby
added to Article 78 — Public Service Commission Law, of
the Annotated Code of Maryland (1969 Replacement Volume
and 1974 Supplement) to read as follows:

Article 78 — Public Service Commission Law

15.

The People's Counsel shall have the following powers
and duties:

(4) HE MAY INTERVENE OR PARTICIPATE IN

PROCEEDINGS BEFORE FEDERAL AGENCIES ON BEHALF OF MARYLAND
CONSUMERS IN MATTERS IN WHICH THE PUBLIC SERVICE
COMMISSION HAS JURISDICTION INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED
TO, THE FEDERAL POWER COMMISSION, THE FEDERAL ENERGY
OFFICE, AND THE FEDERAL COMMUNICATIONS COMMISSION.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1975.
