AN ACT concerning
Charles County — County Treasurer
FOR the purpose of removing the treasurer's fees relating
to the advertisement of the names of delinquent
taxpayers in Charles County; and clarifying
language.
BY repealing and re—enacting, with amendments,
The Public Local Laws of Charles County
Section 88(a)
Article 9 — Public Local Laws of Maryland
(1969 Edition as amended by Chapter 472 of
the Acts of 1972.)
SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section 88(a) of the Public Local Laws of
Charles County being Article 9 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland (1969 Edition as amended by
Chapter 472 of the Acts of 1972) be and it is hereby
repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as
follows:
Article 9
88.
(a) For the collection of all taxes for State or
county purposes that may be due on April 11, 1910, the
[said] treasurer shall proceed as required by Section 9
of Chapter 509 of the Acts of 1908. For all taxes which
are levied after April 11, 1910, and that are due and in
arrear, the treasurer shall immediately after the first
day of February in each year[,] make up a list of all
delinquent taxpayers, and the amount for which they are
respectively in arrears, and publish the [same] LIST in
one week's edition in not more than three newspapers of
general circulation published in Charles County[; and
if], IF the amounts [so] due and in arrears are not paid
on or before the first day of April next succeeding the
publication of [said] THE delinquent list, he shall
proceed to advertise and sell all of [such] THE property
as [hereinafter] set forth IN THIS SUBTITLE. The [said]
advertisements shall be inserted in not more than three
newspapers of general circulation published in Charles
County, to be designated by the County Commissioners, the
