SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section 4-710(d) of Article - Natural
Resources, of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1974 Volume
and 1974 Supplement) be and it is hereby repealed and
re—enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

(d) A person may tot install, set operate, or
maintain in any tidal water of the [[State]] CHESAPEAKE
BAY OR ITS TRIBUTARIES any monofilament gill net webbing
of any description to catch fish. [[THIS PROHIBITION
DOES NOT APPLY TO THE TIDAL WATERS OF THE ATLANTIC
OCEAN.]]

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1975.
