(1971 Replacement Volume and 1974 Supplement)
SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section 750(b) of Article 43 - Health, of
the Annotated Code of Maryland (1971 Replacement Volume
and 1974 Supplement) be and it is hereby repealed and
re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:
Article 43 - Health
750.
(b) Members of the Board shall be residents of this
State, One member shall be a person licensed to practice
medicine in this State and shall hold a certificate of
qualification from the American Board of Otolaryngology.
One member shall have at least four years of paid work
experience in audiology, shall hold a certificate of
clinical competence in audiology from the American Speech
and Hearing Association and shall be a member in good
standing of that association. Three members shall be
persons experienced in the sale of hearing aids, shall
possess the qualifications provided in § 741, and shall
be recommended by the Maryland members of the Hearing Aid
Dealers Association of Maryland, District of Columbia and
Delaware. All persons appointed to the Board after the
date on which the Board first issues a certificate of
license, as provided in § 742 (c), shall be persons who
hold valid certificates of license. [No member of the
Board shall be a member or employee of the State Board of
Health and Mental Hygiene, or its departments.]
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That new
Section 754A be and it is hereby added to Article 43 -
Health, of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1971
Replacement Volume and 1974 Supplement) to read as
follows:
