COUNTY WHERE THE PERSON RESIDES OR FROM THE CLERK OF THE
COURT OF COMMON PLEAS IF THE PERSON RESIDES IN BALTIMORE
CITY.
(D) EVERY PERSON MHO APPLIES FOR A CLAM DEALER'S
LICENSE SHALL FILE AN APPLICATION FORM FURNISHED BY THE
DEPARTMENT AND CONTAINING INFORMATION THE DEPARTMENT
REQUIRES BY RULE AND REGULATION.
(E) EVERY APPLICANT SHALL PAY A LICENSE FEE OF
$25, AND IN ADDITION TO THIS SUM, 50 CENTS TO THE ISSUING
CLERK OF THE COURT, IF APPLICATION IS MADE TO THE CLERK
OF THE COURT.
(F) UPON RECEIPT OF THE REQUIRED FEE, THE
DEPARTMENT OR THE COURT CLERK SHALL GIVE THE APPLICANT A
DUPLICATE COPY OF THE APPLICATION, WHICH SERVES AS A
TEMPORARY LICENSE FOR 15 DAYS TO SHIP OR SELL HARD-SHELL
CLAMS. AFTER ISSUING THE TEMPORARY LICENSE, THE COURT
CLERK SHALL FORWARD, WITHIN 48 HOURS, THE ORIGINAL COPY
OF THE APPLICATION TO THE DEPARTMENT. THE DEPARTMENT, BY
FIRST-CLASS MAIL, SHALL SEND THE LICENSE TO THE
APPLICANT. THE COURT CLERK SHALL FORWARD MONTHLY TO THE
DEPARTMENT A RECORD OF EVERY LICENSE ISSUED UNDER THE
PROVISIONS OF THIS SECTION AND THE FEES RECEIVED FROM
APPLICANTS FOR DEPOSIT TO THE CREDIT OF THE FISHERIES
RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT FUND.
(G) EVERY CLAM DEALER'S LICENSE IS VALID FOR THE
CALENDAR YEAR IN WHICH IT IS ISSUED.
SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect [[July 1, 1975]] January 1, 1976.

initial or renewal premium due notice which it
