AN ACT concerning

Crabs — Limitations on Sizes

FOR the purpose of allowing a person to possess imported,
undersize crabs during the closed season for
catching crabs in Maryland under certain
circumstances.

BY adding to

Article - Natural Resources
Section 4-809(e)
Annotated Code of Maryland
(1974 Volume and 1974 Supplement)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That new Section 4—809(e) be and it is hereby
added to Article — Natural Resources, of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1974 Volume and 1974 Supplement) to
read as follows:

4-809.

(E)                    THE PROVISIONS OF SUBSECTION (A) DO NOT

APPLY TO CRABS IMPORTED INTO MARYLAND DURING THE CLOSED
SEASON FOR CATCHING CRABS IF THE PERSON POSSESSING THE
IMPORTED CRABS HAS A CERTIFICATE OF ORIGIN.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1975.
