supplementary funds for the construction of a House of
Delegates Office Building. With the waiver of this
provision as applied to the item, there shall be allowed
an additional period of two years beginning on the
effective date of this Act for placing this project under
contract. If the project has not been placed under
contract within a period of two years beginning on the
effective date of this Act, it shall be deemed to have
been abandoned and the other provisions of Section 10 of
Chapter 179 of the Acts of 1972 shall be fully effective
as to it.
SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That Section
5(A) (1) (e) of Chapter 425 of the Acts of 1971, as amended
by Section 5(A)(1)(f) of Chapter 179 of the Acts of 1972
providing $1,450,000 in supplementary funds, be and it is
hereby repealed and re—enacted, with amendments, to read
as follows:

(e) Construction of a House of Delegates Office Building
TO INCLUDE A TUNNEL CONNECTING THE STATE HOUSE,
LEGISLATIVE SERVICES BUILDING, HOUSE OF DELEGATES
OFFICE BUILDING, AND SENATE OFFICE BUILDING, AND
IMPROVEMENTS TO BLADEN STREET, COLLEGE AVENUE, AND
PLAZA BETWEEN LEGISLATIVE SERVICES AND GOVERNMENT
HOUSE AND COLLEGE AVENUE AND STATE CIRCLE (INCLUDING
LAWYERS' STREET).........................$6,053,000.
SECTION 4. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect June 1, 1975.
