Baltimore City — Alcoholic Beverages

FOR the purpose of permitting in Baltimore City a church
to consent to the issuance of an alcoholic beverage
license on certain premises within a certain
distance from the church; permitting certain
licenses to be within any distance of a church or
school; clarifying language; and adding lettering
where appropriate,

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section 46B of Article 2B - Alcoholic
Beverages, of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1968
Replacement Volume and 1974 Supplement) be and it is
hereby repealed and re—enacted, with amendments, to read
as follows:

Article 2B — Alcoholic Beverages

46B.

(A) In Baltimore City, in the second, third,
fourth, and fifth legislative districts as existed on
January 1, 1972, no new license, or removal of an
existing license, shall be granted to sell alcoholic
beverages in any building located within [three hundred
(300)] 300 feet of the nearest point of the buildings of
a church or school, bat the license of any person now
holding a license for any building located within such
distance of the building grounds of a church or school
