AN ACT concerning

Kent County — Alcoholic Beverages

FOR the purpose of requiring an applicant for issue or
renewal of a liquor license to claim the license
within 30 days after it is issued or renewed, and
providing that if such license is not claimed within
30 days of issue or renewal it is null and void.

BY repealing and re—enacting, with amendments.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section 66(c) of Article 2B - Alcoholic
Beverages, of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1968
Replacement Volume and 1973 Supplement) be and it is
hereby repealed and re—enacted, with amendments, to read
as follows:

Article 2B — Alcoholic Beverages
66.

(c) In Kent County all licenses shall be issued
for twelve or nine or six months' periods only, to begin
from the first day of Hay in the year of their issue, and
shall be claimed BY THE APPLICANT within [one month] 30
DAYS after renewal OR ISSUE. IF THE LICENSE IS NOT
CLAIMED BY THE APPLICANT WITHIN 30 DAYS AFTER ISSUE OR
RENEWAL OF THE LICENSE, THE LICENSE IS NOLL AND VOID. [,
provided, however, that when] WHEN such licenses are
issued for a period of six months, one half only of the
annual fee herein provided for shall be charged. Nothing
