(o) (2) The State's Attorney may employ [an
assistant,] A DEPUTY STATE'S ATTORNEY who shall be a
member of the local bar in good standing. The State's
Attorney may also employ a criminal investigator and an
administrative coordinator. THE DEPUTY STATE'S
ATTORNEY'S SALARY SHALL BE NOT LESS THAN $10,500 AND
SHALL BE SET BY THE COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF KENT COUNTY.
The County Commissioners shall fix the compensation of
[the assistant State's attorney,] the investigator and
the coordinator [, who shall investigate cases, prepare
the dockets and perform such acts and duties as the
State's Attorney may request]. THE DEPUTY STATE'S
ATTORNEY, THE INVESTIGATOR, AND THE COORDINATOR SHALL
INVESTIGATE CASES, PREPARE THE DOCKETS, AND PERFORM SUCH
ACTS AND DUTIES AS THE STATE'S ATTORNEY MAY REQUEST.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1974.

AN ACT concerning
Allegany County — Water System Bonds
FOR the purpose of increasing the aggregate principal
amount which may be borrowed to finance the
acquisition and construction of a water transmission
system or systems for Allegany County to Nineteen
Million Dollars ($19,000,000), confirming and
clarifying the responsibilities of the Allegany
County Water Commission in connection therewith,
eliminating the limitation of the system to an
extension from the Savage River Dam to Cumberland,
providing that the designation of the bonds and the
interest rate payable thereon shall be determined by
the Board of County Commissioners of Allegany
County, providing for the issuance of refunding
bonds, clarifying and up—dating the provisions
relating to tax exemption, and relating generally to
the issuance and sale of such bonds for such
purposes.
BY repealing and re—enacting, with amendments,
