SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That the
provisions of this Act shall not be construed to extend
or apply to the salary of the Kent County Sheriff in
office on the effective date of this Act, but the
provisions of this Act concerning the salary of the Kent
County Sheriff shall take effect at the beginning of the
next following term of office.

SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1974.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section 2-108(p) of Article - Estates and
Trusts, of the Annotated Code of Maryland (As enacted by
Chapter 11 (S.B. 133) of the 1974 Regular Session of the
General Assembly) be and it is hereby repealed and
re—enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:
