elected [three] FIVE commissioners, who shall compose the
board of county commissioners. The County Commissioners
shall take office on December 1st following their
election, except if such date shall fall on a Sunday,
holiday or any other day on which the Court House is not
open, in which event they shall take office on the next
succeeding business day on which the Court House is open.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That nothing
in this Act shall affect the terms of office of any
County Commissioner of Frederick County holding office
prior to the effective date of this Act.

SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That, subject
to the provisions of Section 2, this act shall take
effect July 1, 1974.

AN ACT concerning

Frederick County — Grand Jury

FOR the purpose of repealing the provision in the
Frederick County Code relating to the length of
session of the Grand Jury.

Section 5—20

Article 11 — Public local Laws of Maryland
(1959 Edition and 1971 Supplement)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section 5-20 of the Public Local Laws of
Frederick County being Article 11 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland (1959 Edition and 1971
Supplement), be and it is hereby repealed:
