SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act

FOR the purpose of providing the place where persons     may

obtain oyster and clam licenses and       for

establishment and disposition of an additional     fee
for temporary licenses.

BY repealing and re—enacting, with amendments.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section 4-1004(f) of Article - Natural
Resources, of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1973
Volume) be and it is hereby repealed and re—enacted, with
amendments, to read as follows:

4-1004.

(f) Issuance of license. — The [Department shall
issue licenses pursuant to the rules and regulations it
prescribes] Department shall issue licenses pursuant to
the rules and regulations it prescribes. A TEMPORARY
LICENSE MAY BE OBTAINED FROM THE CLERK OF THE CIRCUIT
COURT FOR THE COUNTY IN WHICH THE PERSON RESIDES OR FROM
THE CLERK OF THE COURT OF COMMON PLEAS, IF HE RESIDES IN
BALTIMORE CITY. EVERY APPLICANT SHALL PAY TO THE CLERK
OF THE COURT THE LICENSE FEE SPECIFIED IN THIS SECTION
