AN ACT concerning

Charles County - Orphans' Court

FOP the purpose of providing for an increase in the
compensation and traveling expanse allowance for
judges of the Orphans' Court of Charles County.

BY repealing and re—enacting, with amendments,

Article — Estates and Trusts

Section 2-108(j)

Annotated Code of Maryland

(As added by Chapter ___(S.B. 133) of the 1974

Regular Session of the General Assembly)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section 2-108(j) of Article - Estates and
Trusts, of the Annotated Code of Maryland (As added by

Chapter ___ (S.B. 133) of the 1974 Regular Session of the

General Assembly) be and it is hereby repealed and
re—enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

2-108.

(j) Charles County.

Each of the judges of the court for Charles County
shall receive as annual compensation [$600] $900. Each
judge shall also be allowed [$300] $400 annually for
traveling expenses, payable quarterly.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That the
provisions of this Act shall not be construed to extend
or apply to the salary of the Judges of the Orphans'
Court of Charles County in office on the effective date
of this Act, but the provisions of this Act concerning
the salary of the Judges of the Orphans' Court of Charles
County shall take effect at the beginning of the next
following term of office.
