fund for the preceding year. Any newly organized
volunteer fire company in said County shall receive such
appropriation [only upon the written recommendation of
the fire marshall of said County.], AT THE DISCRETION OF
THE COUNTY COUNCIL OF WICOMICO COUNTY IN EXECUTIVE
SESSION, UPON CONSULTATION WITH THE FIRE MARSHALL OF
WICOMICO COUNTY AND THE WICOMICO COUNTY VOLUNTEER
FIREMEN'S ASSOCIATION.
Said County Council is further authorized to
appropriate and levy annually a sum to be paid to the
City of Salisbury to be used for the support of the fire
companies of said City.
Section 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED that this Act
having been passed by the County Council of Wicomico
County at its Legislative Session of Juno, 1973, shall
take effect August 15, 1973, unless a proper petition for
referendum thereof shall be validly filed prior to said
date, in which event this Act shall not take effect until
the expiration of thirty (30) days following approval of
this Act by a majority of the qualified voters of the
County voting in any such referendum.

AN ACT to repeal and re—enact with amendments.
Section 564-2 of Article 23 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Wicomico County (1965 Edition, being Article 23
of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland) title
"Appropriation — Lower Shore Sheltered Workshop, Inc."
and such other local laws pertaining to the subject
matter of this Chapter as may have been heretofore
enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland, authorizing
an annual appropriation not to exceed Twenty Thousand
Dollars ($20,000.00) to the Lower Shore Sheltered
Workshop, Inc.
Section 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNTY COUNCIL OF
WICOMICO COUNTY, MARYLAND, that Section 564-2 of Article
23 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Wicomico County
(1965 Edition, being Article 23 of the Code of Public
