MONTGOMERY COUNTY

Columbia boundary line in the County intersects the
Maryland—Virginia boundary line on the southwest side of
the Potomac Fiver; running thence in a northwesterly
direction along the said Maryland—Virginia boundary line
to the point of emptying of Watts Branch into the Potomac
River; thence northerly along Watts Branch to Route #190
(River Road); and thence northeasterly along Greenbrier
Branch to the intersection of Glen Road; and thence
southeasterly along Glen Road to Piney Meetinghouse Road;
and thence northeasterly along Piney Meetinghouse Road to
the intersection of Travilah Road; thence northeasterly
along Travilah Road to the intersection of Route #28;
thence northwesterly along Route #28 to its intersection
with Quince Orchard Road (Md. Route #124); thence
northeasterly along Route #124 to the city limits of the
City of Gaithersburg; thence from the City of
Gaithersburg, northwesterly along Route #355 to Brink
Road, and thence easterly along Brink Road to the Town of
Laytonsville; thence easterly along Route #420 (Sundown
Road) to Unity; thence easterly along Damascus Road to
Route #97; thence southeasterly along Route #97 to Olney;
thence easterly along Route #108 to Ashton; thence
southeasterly along Route #650 to Route #198 (Browns
Corner); thence easterly along State Route #198 to the
Prince George's—Montgomery County boundary line; thence
with the said Montgomery County—Prince. George's County
boundary line to the Montgomery County—District of
Columbia boundary line; thence with the Montgomery
County—District of Columbia boundary line to the place of
beginning.

AND, such additional area within the maximum
expansion area for the urban area, as may, from time to
time, be declared to be included within the urban area
after the recommendation of the Range Approval Committee
by a resolution of the County Council.

Maximum Expansion Area. The maximum expansion area
of the urban area is that portion of the County lying
within the following boundaries:

Beginning at a point where the Maryland—District of
Columbia boundary line in the County intersects the
Maryland—Virginia boundary line on the southwest side of
the Potomac River; running thence in a northwesterly
direction along the said Maryland—Virginia boundary line
to the point of the emptying of Watts Branch into the
Potomac River; thence northerly along Watts Branch to
Route #190 (River Road); and thence northeasterly along
Greenbrier Branch to the intersection of Glen Road; and
thence southeasterly along Glen Road to Piney
Meetinghouse Road; and thence northeasterly along Piney
Meetinghouse Road to Travilah Road; thence northeasterly
along Travilab Road to the intersection of Route #28;
