HOWARD COUNTY

ILLEGALITY, INVALIDITY, UNCONSTITUTIONALLY OR
INAPPLICABILITY SHALL NOT AFFECT OR IMPAIR ANY OF THE
REMAINING PROVISIONS, SENTENCES, CLAUSES, SECTIONS, OR
PART OF THE ORDINANCE OR THEIR APPLICATION TO OTHER
PERSONS AND CIRCUMSTANCES. IT IS HEREBY DECLARED TO BE
THE LEGISLATIVE INTENT THAT THIS ACT WOULD HAVE BEEN
ADOPTED IF SUCH ILLEGAL, INVALID OR UNCONSTITUTIONAL
PROVISION, SENTENCE, CLAUSE, SECTION OR PART HAD NOT BEEN
INCLUDED THEREIN, AND IF PERSON OR CIRCUMSTANCES TO WHICH
THE ACT OR OR ANY PART THEREOF IF INAPPLICABLE HAD BEEN
SPECIFICALLY EXEMPTED THEREFROM.

Section 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED BY THE COUNTY
COUNCIL OF HOWARD COUNTY, MARYLAND, that this Act shall
take effect sixty (60) days after its enactment.

AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY THE COUNTY COUNCIL OF
HOWARD COUNTY, MARYLAND, this 3rd day of December, 1973,
that this Bill is declared to Emergency Legislation.

This Bill, having been approved by the Executive and
returned to the Council, stands enacted on December 28,
1973.

MONTGOMERY COUNTY

Chapter 1

AN ACT to amend Chapter 2, title "Administration," of the
Montgomery County Code 1965, as amended, by
repealing and re—enacting, with amendments. Section
2—120, title "Date of finality generally," Section
2—121, title "One—half and three—quarter year
levies,"; Section 2-122, title "Annual levy," and
Section 2—123, title "When taxes due and payable;
interest,"; and to amend Chapter 84, title "Finance
and Taxation," of the Montgomery County Code 1965 as
amended, by repealing and re—enacting, with
amendments, Section 84—7, title "Date of finality
for tax purposes; when taxes due and payable; date
when taxes overdue; penalty for late payment of
taxes; when improvements assessable," to provide for
consistent dates of finality pertaining to the
levying of taxes in accordance with the provisions
of Article 81 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
1957, as amended.
