HOWARD COUNTY
COUNCIL OF HOWARD COUNTY, MARYLAND, that this Act shall
take effect sixty (60) days after it enactment.
This Bill, having been approved by the Executive and
returned to the the Council, stands enacted on November
14, 1973.
Council Bill No. 60
AN ACT to enact Section 1.106A of the Howard County Code,
title "Administration," Subtitle "Personnel,"
providing for a Physical Examination requirement for
County employees.
Section 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNTY COUNCIL OF
HOWARD COUNTY, MARYLAND, that new section 1.106A be and
is hereby added to the Howard County Code, title
"Administration" subtitle "Personnel," to read as
follows:
10.106A PHYSICAL EXAMINATION
[A. EACH PERSON EMPLOYED BY THE COUNTY SHALL BE IS
GOOD HEALTH, AND PRIOR TO INITIAL APPOINTMENT TO ANY
POSITION, SHALL UNDERGO A PHYSICAL EXAMINATION BY A
LICENSED PHYSICIAN OF THE COUNTY'S SELECTION.]
EACH PERSON EMPLOYED BY THE COUNTY SHALL BE IN GOOD
HEALTH; AND FOR GOOD CAUSE, THE COUNTY PERSONNEL OFFICER
MAY REQUIRE ANY EMPLOYEE TO UNDERGO A PHYSICAL
EXAMINATION BY A LICENSED PHYSICIAN OF THE PERSONNEL
OFFICER'S SELECTION, SAID EXAMINATION TO BE PAID FOR BY
THE COUNTY.
B. EACH PERSON EMPLOYED BY THE COUNTY SHALL BE IN
GOOD HEALTH; AND FOR GOOD CAUSE, THE COUNTY MAY REQUIRE
ANY EMPLOYEE TO UNDERGO A PHYSICAL EXAMINATION BY A
LICENSED PHYSICIAN OF THE COUNTY'S SELECTION.
Section 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED BY THE COUNTY
COUNCIL OF HOWARD COUNTY, MARYLAND, that this Act is
declared to be an emergency measure and shall take effect
upon its enactment.
This Bill, having been approved by the Executive and
returned to the Council, stands enacted on November 9,
1973.
