preferably some college level courses in Sanitary
Engineering and two (2) years of experience in the
operation of water or sewer plants; or any equivalent
combination of education and experience.]
(78a) Waste Treatment Plant Assistant
Graduation from a recognized high school or
vocational training course. Must be able to perform
skilled mechanical work, requiring operation or
maintenance of water purification or sewerage treatment
plant equipment; or any equivalent combination of
education and experience.
(78b) Waste Treatment Plant Operator I
Graduation from a recognized high school or
vocational school; two (2) years experience as W.T.P.
Assistant, and possession of Class C Waste Treatment
Plant Operators Licenses; any or equivalent combination
of experience and education.
(78c) Waste Treatment Plant Operator II
Graduation from high school or
vocational/technical school; minimum three years (3)
years experience as W.T.P.O. Assistant and/or W.T.P.O.I.
and possession of Class B Waste Treatment Plant Operators
License.
(78d) Waste Treatment Plant Supervisor
Graduation from high school or recognized
vocational technical school; minimum six (6) years
experience COMPARABLE TO THE ABOVE GRADES, two (2) years
of which have been in supervisory capacity; possession of
State Certified Class A Waste Treatment Plant Operator
License.
(78e) Superintendent of Solid Waste Operations
Graduation from high school and seven (7)
years responsible experience in sanitary landfill
operations or equivalent experience in the operations of
heavy construction equipment, three (3) years of which
were in the capacity of supervisor.
