ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY

"Personnel", Article II, "Classified Service" to
follow immediately after Section 1—211(d) thereof,
to establish overtime pay provisions for all
employees represented by Anne Arundel County
Professional Fire Fighters Local 1563, International
Association of Fire Fighters (I.A.F.F.) AFL-CIO-CLC,
the Maryland Classified Employees Association,
Chapter Number 510 and the American Federation of
State, County and Municipal Employees affiliated
with Maryland Public Employees' Council 67; and
matters generally related thereto.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNTY COUNCIL OF
ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY, MARYLAND, That Sections 1-211(e) ,
(f), and (g), be, and they are hereby added to the Anne
Arundel County code (1967 Edition and Supplements), Title
1, "Administration", Subtitle 2, "Personnel", Article II,
"Classified Service", to follow immediately after Section
1—211(d) thereof, and to read as follows:

Section 1-211

(E)           ANY EMPLOYEE REPRESENTED BY THE ANNE ARUNDEL
PROFESSIONAL FIRE FIGHTERS LOCAL 1563, INTERNATIONAL
ASSOCIATION OF FIRE FIGHTERS (I.A.F.F.) AFL-CIO-CLC WHO
IS REQUIRED TO WORK BEYOND HIS NORMALLY SCHEDULED WORK
WEEK SHALL BE COMPENSATED AT THE APPROPRIATE HOURLY RATE
FOR EACH HOUR OF OVERTIME WORKED. FOR PURPOSES OF THIS
SUBSECTION, AN EMPLOYEE'S APPROPRIATE HOURLY RATE SHALL
BE COMPUTED BY DIVIDING THE ANNUAL SALARY SET FORTH IN
SECTION 1-216(C) OF THIS SUBTITLE BY FIFTY-TWO (52) AND
DIVIDING THE RESULT THEREOF BY FIFTY-SIX(56).

(F)           SUBJECT TO THE PROVISIONS OF SECTION 1-215.2
OF THIS ARTICLE, ANY EMPLOYEE REPRESENTED BY THE MARYLAND
CLASSIFIED EMPLOYEES' ASSOCIATION, CHAPTER #510 SHALL BE
COMPENSATED AT THE RATE OF ONE AND ONE-HALF (1 1/2) TIMES
SAID EMPLOYEE'S REGULAR RATE OF PAY FOR ALL HOURS WORKED
IN EXCESS OF THIRTY-FIVE (35) HOURS PER WEEK.

(G)           EMPLOYEES REPRESENTED BY THE AMERICAN
FEDERATION OF STATE, COUNTY AND MUNICIPAL EMPLOYEES,
AFFILIATED WITH MARYLAND PUBLIC EMPLOYEES COUNCIL 67
SHALL BE COMPENSATED FOR WORK IN EXCESS OF THEIR REGULAR
WORK WEEK AS FOLLOWS:

(1) EMPLOYEES COVERED BY THE CLASSIFICATIONS
SET FORTH IN SECTIONS 1-216(G) AND (H) OF THIS ARTICLE
SHALL BE COMPENSATED FOR ALL HOURS WORKED IN EXCESS OF
EIGHT (8) HOURS ACTUALLY WORKED IN A WORK DAY OR IN
EXCESS OF FORTY (40) HOURS ACTUALLY WORKED WITHIN THE
WORK WEEK AT THE RATE OF ONE AND ONE-HALF (1 1/2) TIMES
THE EMPLOYEE'S REGULAR RATE OF PAY.
