COUNTY LOCAL LAWS

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this
Ordinance shall take effect forty—five (45) days from the
date it becomes law, provided that the provisions thereof
shall be applied retroactively to July 1, 1973.

AN ORDINANCE to repeal Section 1—216 of the Anne Arundel
County Code (1967 Edition and Supplements), Title 1,
"Administration", Subtitle 2, "Personnel", Article
II, "Classified Service", and to enact new Section
1—216 in lieu thereof, to stand in the place of the
section repealed, to establish salary schedules for
all union and non-union Classified County Employees.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNTY COUNCIL OF
ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY, MARYLAND, That Section 1-216 of the
Anne Arundel County Code (1967 Edition and Supplements),
Title 1, "Administration", Subtitle 2, "Personnel",
Article II, "Classified Service", be and it is hereby
repealed, and that new Section 1—216 be, and it is hereby
enacted in lieu thereof, to stand in the place of the
section repealed, and to read as follows:

Section 1-216

(A) UNLESS OTHERWISE APPLICABLE BY THE REMAINING
SUBSECTIONS OF THIS SECTION, THE BELOW LISTED ANNUAL
SALARY SCHEDULE SHALL APPLY TO ALL CLASSIFIED EMPLOYEES
(PROVIDED THAT, NOTWITHSTANDING SAID SCHEDULE, EVERY
EMPLOYEE ASSIGNED TO A FORTY (40) HOUR WORK WEEK SHALL
RECEIVE AN ANNUAL INCREASE OF NOT LESS THAN FIVE HUNDRED
TWENTY DOLLARS ($520.00):
