provision of this Ordinance or the application thereof to
any person or circumstance is held invalid for any
reason, such invalidity shall not affect the other
provisions or any other application of this Ordinance
which can be given effect without the invalid provisions
or application, and to this end, all the provisions of
this Ordinance are hereby declared to be severable.

SECTION 4. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That the 1952
Comprehensive Zoning Maps and the "1952 Zoning
Ordinance", as set forth in Section 13—301 through
13—360, inclusive, of the Anne Arundel County Code (1967
Edition and Supplements), Title 13, "Planning and
Zoning", Subtitle 3, "Zoning Regulations", formerly
codified as Chapter 35 of said Code (1957 Edition and
Supplements, as added or amended), be, and they are
hereby repealed to the extent that they affect the Fourth
Assessment District (in addition to the First, Second,
Third, Seventh and Eighth Assessment Districts).

SECTION 5. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That the
"Alternate Zoning Regulations", as set forth in Sections
13—300 through 13—344.8, inclusive, of the Anne Arundel
County Code (1967 Edition and Supplements), Title 13,
"Planning and Zoning", Subtitle 3, "Zoning Regulations",
shall become effective in the Fourth Assessment District
(in addition to the First, Second, Third, Seventh and
Eighth Assessment Districts).

AN ORDINANCE to repeal and re—enact, with amendments,
Section 1-221 (b) of the Anne Arundel County Code
(1967 Edition and Supplements), Title 1,
"Administration", Subtitle 2, "Personnel", Article
III, "Employees1 Retirement Plan", to change the
definition of the term "employee" for the purposes
of Employees' Retirement Plan.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNTY COUNCIL OF
ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY, MARYLAND, That Section 1-221 (b) of
the Anne Arundel County Code (1967 Edition and
Supplements), Title 1, "Administration", Subtitle 2,
"Personnel", Article III, "Employees1 Retirement Plan",
