SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this
ordinance shall take effect forty-five (45) days from the
date it becomes law.

READ AND PASSED: February 20, 1973.

AN ORDINANCE to repeal and re—enact, with amendments,
Section 1-200 (f) of the Anne Arundel County Code
(1967 Edition and Supplements), Title 1,
"Administration", Subtitle 2, "Personnel", Article
I, "Exempt Service", to provide annual leave for
certain employees under the Executive Fay Plan.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNTY COUNCIL OF
ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY, MARYLAND, That Section 1-200 (f) of
the Anne Arundel County Code (1967 Edition and
Supplements), Title 1, "Administration", Subtitle 2,
"Personnel", Article I, "Exempt Service", be, and it is
hereby repealed and re—enacted, with amendments, to read
as follows:

Section 1-200

(f) Other employment conditions. Employees
occupying these positions are entitled to all employment
benefits that are applicable to classified employees,
except that side leave policy shall be administered on a
basis of reasonable need. EMPLOYEES WHO HAVE BEEN IN THE
EXECUTIVE PAY PLAN FOR MORE THAN ONE (1) YEAR OF
CONTINUOUS SERVICE SHALL BE ENTITLED TO ANNUAL LEAVE AS
HEREINAFTER SET FORTH:

YEARS OF CONTINUOUS SERVICE                                 ANNUAL LEAVE

TWO (2) THROUGH FOUR (4)                                         TWO (2) WEEKS

FIVE (5) THROUGH NINE (9)                                      THREE (3) WEEKS

TEN (10) THROUGH NINETEEN   (19)                            FOUR (4) WEEKS

TWENTY (20) OR MORE                                                   FIVE (5) WEEKS

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this
Ordinance shall take effect forty—five (45) days from the
date it becomes law, but the provisions thereof shall be
applied retroactively to June 9, 1972.

READ AND PASSED February 20, 1973.
