SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That if an
employee is in a position which has been redesignated to
a higher pay grade, said employee shall maintain the same
in—grade increment in the higher grade which he had prior
to the redesignation.
SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this
ordinance shall take effect forty—five (45) days from the
date it becomes law.

AN ORDINANCE to repeal and re—enact, with amendments,
Section 1—215 (d) (3) of the Anne Arundel County
Code (1967 Edition and Supplements), Title 1,
"Administration", Subtitle 2, "Personnel", Article
II, "Classified Service", to change the pay grades
of Detention officers I and II and Detention Nurse
of the Police Series of the Public Safety Group; and
matters generally related to the Police Series of
the Public Safety Group of the Classified Service.
SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNTY COUNCIL OF
ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY, MARYLAND, That Section 1-215 (d) (3)
of the Anne Arundel County Code (1967 Edition and
Supplements), Title 1, "Administration", Subtitle 2,
"Personnel", Article II, "Classified Service", be, and it
is hereby repealed and re—enacted, with amendments, to
read as follows:
