WHEREAS, said parcel of land is contiguous to the
existing municipal boundaries of the Town of Poolesville;
and
WHEREAS, the resolution for annexation was duly
advertised in accordance with Article 23A Section 19 of
the Annotated Code of Maryland (1973 Replacement Volume);
and
WHEREAS, twenty—five percent (25%) of the persons
who reside in the area to be annexed have consented to
the Resolution presented to the Commissioners of
Poolesville to annex the property described below; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Board for the Commissioners of
Poolesville recommended the approval of the said
Resolution for reasons stated in an opinion addressed to
the Commissioners of Poolesville which is on file with
the Town clerk,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, BY THE COMMISSIONERS
OF POOLESVILLE that the Resolution proposing a change of
boundaries as requested by the Resolution be approved,
and, further
BE IT RESOLVED that the existing boundaries of the
municipal corporation known as "The Commissioners of
Poolesville", being the Town of Poolesville, Maryland,
be, and they are hereby extended to include an area as
follows:
Parts of tracts of land called "AIX LA CHAPELLE"
Poolesville District, Montgomery County, Maryland:
BEGINNING for the same at a point on the northerly
side of Poolesville—Dawsonville Road the beginning of a
conveyance from Ninian Lowe to Isaac Chaney for 2.00
acres of land and recorded among the land records of
Montgomery County, Maryland in Liber E.BP.P. No. 20 at
folio 49, thence leaving said road with the 1st line N.
18°45' E. 378.35 feet thence with part of the 2nd line N.
77° 00' W. 138.60 feet thence leaving said line and with
the 1st line reversed of a conveyance to Mason Davis for
1.00 acre of land S. 13° 00' W. 372.90 feet to the road
said point being 93.72 feet from the end of the last line
of the first mentioned conveyance thence along said road
with said line S. 77° 00' E. 93.72 feet to the place of
beginning. Containing One (1.00) acre of land.
Said area and the persons residing therein to be
subject to all the laws, ordinances, regulations and
