Hall of Records Commission and State Library, the
following information concerning the Charter Amendment:
1. The complete text of this Resolution;
2. The date of the referendum election, if any,
held with respect thereto;
3. The number of votes cast for and against the
question contained in the Charter Amendment,
whether by the Council of the City of Laurel
or in a referendum; and
4. The effective date of the Charter amendment.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor of the
City of Laurel, be and he is specifically enjoined and
instructed to carry out the provisions of the above
sections and as evidence of compliance herewith, the said
Mayor shall cause to be affixed to the Minutes of this
meeting:
1. An appropriate certificate of publication of
the newspaper in which the title of this
Resolution shall have been published; and
2. Return receipts of the mailing referred to in
the aforegoing Sections and shall further
complete and execute the Certificate of effect
attached hereto.

RESOLUTION NO. 7th of 1973
A RESOLUTION of the City of Laurel Adopted Pursuant.
to the provisions of Article 23A, Sections 11 through 18,
titled Corporations - Municipal, subtitled Charter
Amendments, of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1973
Replacement Volume) to amend the Charter of the city of
Laurel by the addition of a new section thereof to be
known as Section 23A, to be entitled "Absentee Ballot" to
provide the procedure to vote by absentee ballot.
THEREFORE: BE IT ENACTED AND ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR
AND CITY COUNCIL OF LAUREL, MARYLAND, that a new section
be and the same is hereby added to the Charter of the
City of Laurel said section to be known as Section 23A,
entitled "Absentee Ballot" to read as follows:
