LANDOVER HILLS

thereto), title "Corporations - Municipal" to amend the
Charter of the Town of Landover Hills by amending Section
48—10 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Prince George's
County (1963 Edition and 1967 Supplement), being Article
17 of the Public Local Laws of Maryland title "Prince
George's County", subtitle "Landover Hills" to change the
age and residence requirements necessary to qualify as a
voter in town elections within the Town of Landover Hills
from twenty—one years of age to eighteen years of age;
and from a one year residency to thirty days residency.

SECTION 1. BE IT RESOLVED, ENACTED AND ORDAINED BY
THE MAYOR AND TOWN COUNCIL OF LANDOVER HILLS, MARYLAND,
that Section 48—10 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Prince George's County, Maryland (1963 Edition, 1967
Supplement), titled "Landover Hills" and subtitled
"Voters; qualifications" being a section of the Charter
of the Mayor and Town Council of Landover Hills,
Maryland, be and the same is hereby repealed and
re—enacted with amendments to read as follows:

48—10. Voters; qualifications.

All adult citizens of the United States
([twenty—one] EIGHTEEN years of age or over) who shall
have been actually domiciled within the corporate limits
of the town for at least [one year] THIRTY DAYS prior TO
registration shall be entitled to register as hereinafter
provided, and after such registration to vote at any
election or referendum held in said town under the
provisions of this sub—title, or under the provisions of
any other act authorizing an election or referendum to be
held in said town for any town purposes whatsoever, so
long as their names remain on the registration books of
the town or until disqualified by loss of citizenship or
actual removal of domicile from said town.

BE IT FURTHER, RESOLVED, ENACTED AND ORDAINED that
any Section or Sections of the Charter of the Town of
Landover Hills, Maryland which are inconsistent with the
above enacted Section, be and the same are hereby
repealed.

BE IT FURTHER, RESOLVED, ENACTED AND ORDAINED that
the aforegoing proposed amendment shall be posted in the
Town Hall for a period of at least forty (40) days
following its adoption, and shall further be published in
the Prince George's Post once in each of four successive
weeks before the 3rd day of April, 1973.

BE IT FURTHER, RESOLVED, ENACTED AND ORDAINED that
the proposed amendment will become and be considered a
part of the Municipal Charter of the Town of Landover
Hills on the 13th day of April, 1973, unless a petition
