MUNICIPAL CHARTERS
SECTION 1. BE IT RESOLVED, ENACTED AND ORDAINED BY
THE MAYOR AND TOWN COUNCIL OF LANDOVER HILLS, MARYLAND,
that a new section be added to the Code of Public Local
Laws of Prince George's County, Maryland (1963 Edition
and 1967 Supplement), said new section to be entitled
"Landover Hills" and subtitled "General Powers" and to be
known as Section 48-9B, and to follow immediately after
the present Section 48—9 and proposed new Section 48—9A,
said new section to read as follows:
48-9B. GRANTS-IN-AID.
TO ACCEPT GIFTS AND GRANTS OF FEDERAL OR OF STATE
FUNDS FROM THE FEDERAL OR STATE GOVERNMENTS OR ANY AGENCY
THEREOF, AND TO EXPEND THE FUNDS FOR ANY LAWFUL PURPOSE,
AGREEABLE TO THE CONDITIONS UNDER WHICH THE GIFTS OR
GRANTS WERE MADE.
BE IT FURTHER, RESOLVED, ENACTED AND ORDAINED that
any section or sections of the Charter of the Town of
Landover Hills, Maryland, which are inconsistent with the
above enacted Section, be and the same are hereby
repealed.
BE IT FURTHER, RESOLVED, ENACTED AND ORDAINED that
the aforegoing proposed amendment shall be posted in the
Town Hall for a period of at least forty (40) days
following its adoption, and shall further be published in
the Prince George's Post once in each of four successive
weeks before the 3rd day of April, 1973.
BE IT FURTHER, RESOLVED, ENACTED AND ORDAINED that
the proposed amendment will become and be considered a
part of the Municipal Charter of the Town of Landover
Hills on the 13th day of April, 1973, unless a petition
in filed pursuant to Article 23A, Section 13, of the
Annotated Code of Maryland, 1966 Replacement Volume as
amended, said petition to be filed on or before the 3rd
day of April, 1973.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, ENACTED AND ORDAINED that
the aforegoing Resolution be and the same is hereby
adopted this 21st day of February, 1973.

A RESOLUTION by the Mayor and Town Council of
Landover Hills, Maryland, adopted pursuant to the
authority of Article 11E of the Constitution of Maryland
and the provisions of Article 23A of the Annotated Code
