MUNICIPAL CHARTERS

provisions of Sections 2 and 3 as evidence of compliance
herewith, the said City Manager shall cause to be affixed
to the minutes of this meeting (1) an appropriate
certificate of publication of the newspaper in which the
title of this Resolution shall have been published; and
(2) return receipts of the mailing referred to in Section
3, and shall further complete and execute the Certificate
of Effect attached hereto.

GREENSBORO
(Caroline County)

On the 15th day of February 1973 it was resolved by
the Commissioners of Greensboro to amend the town charter
as follows:

Section 276A. Qualifications of Councilmen.

Councilmen shall have resided in the town for at
least two years immediately preceding their election and
shall be qualified voters of the town [assessed with real
estate in said town.]

Section 277A. — Qualifications of the Mayor.

The mayor must have resided in the town for at least
two years immediately preceding his election and must be
a qualified voter of the town [assessed with real estate
in said town.]

Section 279. — Qualifications of Voters.

Every person who (a) is a citizen of the United
States (b) is at least [twenty—one] EIGHTEEN years of
age, and (c) [has resided in the State of Maryland for at
least one year next preceding any town election] IS
REGISTERED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE PROVISIONS OF THIS
CHARTER SHALL BE A QUALIFIED VOTER OF THE TOWN. [(d) has
resided within the corporate limits of the town for six
months next preceding any town election and (e) is
registered in accordance with the provisions of this
Charter, shall be a qualified voter of the Town. ] Every
qualified voter of the town shall be entitled to vote in
any and all town elections.
