CHARTER AMENDMENT
NO. 50-74-3

RESOLUTION of The Commissioners of Cambridge adopted
pursuant to the authority of Article 11E of the
Constitution of Maryland and Section 13 of Article 23A of
the Annotated Code of Maryland (1973 Replacement Volume),
entitled "Corporation - Municipal" to amend the Charter
of The Commissioners of Cambridge by repealing and
re—enacting, with amendments, Section 29 entitled
"Records; minute, ordinance, general record books."
Subsection (e) entitled "Extracts" and Subsection (f)
entitled "Use" of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Dorchester County (1961 Edition), said Code being Article
10 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland entitled
"Dorchester County", subtitled "Cambridge", removing
obsolete reference to Justice of the Peace and providing
for payment of extracts of records.

SECTION 1. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSIONERS OF
CAMBRIDGE that the Charter of said municipal corporation
be, and the same is hereby amended by repealing and
re—enacting, with amendments, Subsections (e) entitled
"Extracts" and (f) entitled "Use" of Section 29 to read
as follows:

29. Records; minute, ordinance, general record
books.

(e) Extracts. Extracts from any of the municipal
record books, copies from any papers or documents,
recorded therein, and copies of any ordinance set out in
the ordinance book shall be admissible in evidence, when
pertinent and relevant, in any of the courts of this
State, [or before any justice of the peace thereof,] when
verified by a certificate signed by the town clerk and
authenticated by the corporate seal, provided, that the
Clerk of the Circuit Court for Dorchester County, when
the extract or copies are to be used outside of said
county, shall certify by his hand and the seal of the
said court that the person who verifies the said extract
or copy is the Town Clerk of Cambridge; and provided,
that no extract shall be made by the Town Clerk unless he
embodies in the same all that the municipal records
contain about the matter in question; and provided
