MUNICIPAL CHARTERS
Mayor and Town Council of Brentwood, Maryland, that the
proposed amendment will become and be considered a part
of the Municipal Charter of the Town of Brentwood on the
24th day of April, 1973, unless a petition is filed
pursuant to Article 23 (a), Section 13, of the Annotated
Code of Maryland, 1957 Edition as amended, said petition
to be filed on or before the 14th day of April, 1973.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, ENACTED AND ORDAINED by the
Mayor and Town Council of Brentwood, Maryland, that the
aforegoing Resolution and Ordinance be and the same is
hereby adopted this 5th day of March, 1973, by the Mayor
and Town Council of Brentwood, Maryland.
Charter Amendment 73-3
MAYOR AND TOWN COUNCIL OF BRENTWOOD, MARYLAND
A RESOLUTION AND ORDINANCE to amend Sections
6-29, 6-30 and 6-31 of the Code of Public Laws of
Prince George's County, Maryland, (1963 Edition),
titled "Brentwood" and subtitled "Tax for Fire
Department", "Same; collection" and "Borrowing power
for Fire Department", respectively, by repealing
same.
BE IT RESOLVED, ENACTED AND ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR
AND TOWN COUNCIL OF BRENTWOOD, MARYLAND, that Sections
6—29, 6—30 and 6—31 of the Code of Public Laws of Prince
George's County, Maryland (1963) Edition), titled
"Brentwood" and subtitle "Tax for Fire Department",
"Same; collection" and "Borrowing power for Fire
Department", respectively, being part of the Charter of
the Town of Brentwood, Maryland, be and the same are
hereby repealed.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, ENACTED AND ORDAINED by the
Mayor and Town Council of Brentwood, Maryland, that any
section or sections of the Charter of the Town of
Brentwood, Maryland, which are inconsistent with the
above enacted Section, be and the same are hereby
repealed.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, ENACTED AND ORDAINED by the
Mayor and Town Council of Brentwood, Maryland, that the
aforegoing proposed amendment shall be posted in the Town
Hall for a period of at least forty (40) days following
its adoption, and shall further be published in the paper
of record once in each of four successive weeks before
the 14th day of January, 1974.
