day, the employer may request approval of the
schedule as it pertains to that minor from the
Commissioner of Labor and Industry.
2. If the Commissioner, after such
investigation as he deems appropriate, finds that
his work schedule will not be detrimental to the
health, safety, or welfare of the minor, he may
approve the arrangement.
3. If, and to the extent, the Commissioner
approves the arrangement, the prohibition against
permitting a minor sixteen or seventeen years of age
to work more than nine hours in any one day, as
contained in Article 100, Section 20 (c) of the
Annotated Code of Maryland, is suspended and
modified to permit these minors to work more than
nine hours but not more than ten hours in any one
day, and not more than four days in any one week.
4. The suspension and modification
contained in this Order shall terminate, as to all
minors, upon the termination of the state of
emergency declared on November 14, 1973, or upon the
withdrawal of approval by the Commissioner of Labor
and Industry.
5. The provisions of this Order shall apply
notwithstanding any lesser maximum number of hours
per day which may be lawfully in effect prior to the
effective date of this Order pursuant to any other
provision of State or local law.

MARYLAND AUTOMOBILE INSURANCE FUND
WHEREAS, In the short period of its existence, the
Maryland Automobile Insurance Fund has grown to
become one of the largest automobile insurers in
this State; and
WHEREAS, The Board of Trustees of the Maryland Automobile
Insurance Fund, in addition to its general advisory
function, is charged with the responsibility for
making many of the actual decisions and rulings
necessary for the proper functioning and operation
of the Fund; and
