Dear Mr. Speaker:

In accordance with Article II, Section 17 of the
Maryland Constitution, I have today vetoed House Bill
531.

This bill is primarily a corrective bill, changing
the name "Friendship International Airport" to
"Baltimore—Washington International Airport" throughout
the Code.

Senate Bill 645, which was enacted by the General
Assembly and signed by me on April 30, 1974, was a
complete revision and recodification of the aeronautics
laws of Maryland and, among other things, accomplished
the principal objectives of House Bill 531.
Unfortunately, House Bill 531 is, in certain ways,
inconsistent with the revisions made by Senate Bill 645
and, if signed, would create contradictions in the law.

For these reasons, I decided to veto House Bill 531.

FOR the purpose of ensuring prompt distribution of funds
by the decedent's personal representative by
requiring the representative to give notice of the
decedent's estate to various interested persons.
