the 1974 session of the General Assembly indicates that
Senate Bill 404 should be vetoed.

Senate Bill 404 is a departmental bill which would
have clarified the description of the Seventh
Congressional District. The Baltimore City Election
Board, however, changed some of the precinct numbers
mentioned in the bill without notifying this office.
Consequently, if signed, the law would be erroneous.

If you see fit to concur with my advice, I will
begin working on a new bill to be introduced during the
1975 session. The new bill will correct congressional
district descriptions throughout the entire State without
changing boundary lines.

Calvert County Minors

AN ACT concerning

Anne Arundel and Calvert Counties — Employment

of Minors

FOR the purpose of lowering the age from 21 to 18 years,

with__certain exceptions, as the legal age of

employment for selling, delivering, or otherwise
dealing with alcoholic beverages in Anne Arundel and

Calvert Counties; allowing persons under 18 to

perform certain work, and clarifying the language in
the provision relating to Carroll County as a result
of this change.

Dear Mr. President:

In accordance with Article II, Section 17 of the
Maryland Constitution, I have today vetoed Senate Bill
420.

This bill modifies certain provisions relating to
