AN ACT concerning

Election Code — Corrective

FOP the purpose of clarifying the description of the
seventh congressional district.

Dear Mr. President:

In accordance with Article II, Section 17, of the
Maryland Constitution, I have today vetoed Senate Bill
404.

This bill is intended   to clarify the description   of

the Seventh Congressional     District, as contained     in

Section 22—6 of Article     33 of the Annotated Code   of
Maryland.

I have been informed by the State Administrator of
Election Laws, at whose request this bill was introduced,
that the Board of Supervisors of Elections of Baltimore
City has recently made certain precinct revisions which
render this description, even as amended by Senate Bill
404, inaccurate. For this reason, he has requested that
the bill be vetoed. A copy of the letter of the State
Administrator of Election Laws is attached to and should
be considered a part of this veto message.

Consequently, I have decided to veto Senate Bill
404.
