examine programs for the education and training of
medical students in other states, to compare these
programs with those currently offered by medical schools
in the State, and to submit any recommendations for
change in the education and training of medical students;
and be it further
RESOLVED, That the Maryland Council is requested to
seek the assistance and cooperation of the Maryland
Comprehensive Health Planning Agency, the Johns Hopkins
University School of Medicine, the University of Maryland
School of Medicine, the Medical and Chirurgical Faculty
of the State of Maryland, and other concerned agencies;
and be it further
RESOLVED, That the Maryland Council for Higher
Education is requested to submit a preliminary report on
the study by July 1, 1974, and to submit the final report
to the Governor and the General Assembly for
implementation; and be it further
RESOLVED, That copies of this Resolution are sent to

A House Joint Resolution concerning
Deposits of State Monies — Federal Coverage
FOR the purpose of urging the Maryland Congressional
Delegation to support the passage of Federal
legislation calling for 100 percent Federal coverage
of public monies held on deposit in banks and trust
companies.
WHEREAS, Under present State law, Section 9 of
Article 90 of the Annotated Code of Maryland, any bank or
